Our Approach
Projects
TDSS takes care of the local project initiatives for combating poverty and exploitation and promoting sustainable development. The basic pre-condition for any project is the readiness to collaborate independently of any religious, social or political banner. The collaborators of TDSS examine all projects before they are approved for support. TDSS then reports regularly to the project sponsors on the progress of the project. TDSS is based on the ideal of freedom and possibility denied to the poor and illiterate and this goal is pursued with consistency. TDSS aims to make both the people and groups effective and self reliant by generating forces within society for sustaining these initiatives.
Seminars
TDSS recognizes the need of building individual and institutional capacities. TDSS conducts workshops and training seminars to achieve this. Past activities have focused on NGOs to make non-formal education at the primary and pre-primary level more productive in the rural areas, class teachers to improve their teaching skills, social activists and members and staff of social organizations, trainers etc. to empower them in the effective use of law and organizational skills for promoting human rights, justice and a more equitable developmental process.
Scholarships
In its pursuit of the goal of sustainable development, TDSS also provides Project Scholarship/Fellowship Assistance in the form of Financial assistance, Networking and Logistical support to individuals and groups working in the field of development.
